As we all know, the popularity of video calling platforms is increasing, especially in this period of lockdown due to the Coronavirus. Tapping into this market, Reliance Jio is planning to launch a videoconferencing app as well, which will be called JioMeet.
As per Reliance’s earnings statement, JioMeet is a “nationwide video platform.”
The app will compete with other counterparts, such as Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom, WhatsApp’s video-calling feature, etc.
Pankaj Pawar, senior VP, Reliance Jio Infocomm said, “Jio Meet is a platform which has many uniqueness- it actually has an ability to work on any device, any operating system, and it has an ability to do a complete collaboration.”
